Is there always a right and wrong, or is there room for uncertainty? In my experience, I’ve found that clear solutions are not so easy to come by. Adopting a position of not knowing can increase our field of view, providing more possibilities.
Cultural influences push us all in the direction of solutions, of knowing the answer, of knowing what do to do, but what happens when we are unsure of what’s next?
When we listen, it’s important to pay attention not only to what’s being said, but also for what’s not being said. Meaning is often found between the lines, just as with music, meaning is often found between the notes.
“The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.” – Bertrand Russell
