I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice with offices in Los Angeles and El Segundo. I have more than 13 years experience working with a diverse population covering a wide range of problems. In particular, I have a special interest in, and affinity for anyone struggling with anger, with couples negotiating conflict and mistrust, and with anyone captured by the idea that they are failures in life.
My work is grounded in the idea that people are experts in their own lives, and that no single story defines them. Meetings are informal, collaborative, and conversational. I’m not particularly interested in assessment, so we’re usually able to jump right into what’s bothering you. As I begin to learn about you and the problem you are struggling with—how it came to be in your life, how it influences you how it influences your relationships, and what it has you thinking about the future, I’ll be looking for the kinds of questions that will open space for new possibilities to help lessen the influence of the problem, and to get you moving in a more positive direction.
That means our conversations will be engaging and collaborative, with plenty of give and take. Rest assured, you will not do all the talking.
